“A Place to Hide” è un album denso e intenso, che ondeggia tra new wave e post-punk, impreziosito da suggestioni sonore e vocali e da una forte carica emozionale. Il disco è ricercato ed elegante, ma al tempo stesso istintivo e immediato nelle composizioni. La voce dai toni cupi si fonde con chitarre a volte acide e rumorose, a volte eteree e raffinate, creando ragnatele dalle quali è impossibile non farsi avvolgere, mentre la sezione ritmica scandisce il fluire delle immagini trasfigurate dalle parole tra liquide cavalcate oniriche e poderosi muri di suono.
